URGENT
I know that this is all nuts, but if you have been to a certain country, lets say Brazil like I have, you need to have gotten or get a Yellow Fever Vaccine. Not only that but there is apparently a shortage of Yellow Fever Vaccines worldwide.
So look at toward the middle of the page of the Thai visa information website: http://www.thaiembdc.org/consular/visa/visa.htm
At “Health Requirements” and if you have been to any of those countries, then you have to had or get a Yellow Fever Vaccine and attach the certificate to the Visa Application. I am having trouble finding a clinic that has the Yellow Fever Vaccine, and you might have trouble too. Let’s see God move 🙂
If you have missed something (like this) in your application but you have already turned it in (because you are awesome and punctual and on top of things) then I would (1) pray (2) call the consulate that you mailed it to and talk to them and see what you can do.
You know, I would pray for mercy and grace for the 2 entries. I actually feel at peace about that. You should be fine, but we should pray.
As for the stop in Senegal; I seriously doubt that that counts. I have four full pages of Brazil stamps in my passport, so they will know that I have been to Brazil. I’m thinking that if you didn’t get stamped for that country, then you should be fine. I am not sure how they would know what countries we’ve been to unless they look at our stamps. So no worries. Remember they want our American $money.
Wait… you flew straight to Manzini? I bet that was interesting.
Hey, I have question too….
I went to Peru last year, but I got my Yellow Fever cause it was required to go and I pretty sure it’s still there in my system. but I had that same problem with sending mine out before the 2 entries thing (need prayer for that cause I been calling and emailing but cant get anyone on the phone and havent got a reply) and this yellow fever thing. Thankfully, I accidentally left my vaccination records in my passport when I sent it. is that (the records) what they mean by a certificate of vaccination?
Hunter, I believe that’s exactly what they are looking for. What a great “accident.” Right On.
But yes, lets keep all this stuff in prayer. I guess the Lord wants us to get use to praying…
I have had my yellow fever vaccination and such, but I am not entirely sure where that card is…
BUT I had to get a new passport just last month because mine expired… so my new one is all sad and stampless.
So do you think the fact that I didn’t send in my paper is something that can be overlooked because they won’t see the stamp for “Ghana”?
Brrrrr… you know, I don’t have a clue. Your new passport probably has a different number from you old one? I really don’t know how they will know unless there is some database out there that has our names and the countries we’ve been to. Let’s just keep this in prayer
I am going to call in the morning to try to get more exact answers. In regards to the 2 entries…. This was just in case we traveled in and out of Thailand borders… God will grace us. In regards to yellow fever, I visited Thailand twice this year and they didn’t ask me once for verification. And yes, I’ve visited “a few” of those countries… My old passport filled up and I had to get a new one as well with “a few less stamps” from other countries. Prayer requests: Favor and grace
I also have a huge prayer request. I cannot send my passport out for the visa because I will be flying to India this week for a wedding and need my passport. I will have a small window (exactly 6 days) to be able to get my visa. I will be overnighting it to a friend who will walk try to get the visa in person. PLEASE PRAY!
hey angel, all that is encouraging. I’m praying for this stuff, a lot! ha. and I will be praying for you a lot with your passport stuff!
btw….is that wedding for a certain man named Wilson??
Yes, that would be his name! Crazy huh? I’m so excited for him and Paru!! YEAH!!
